If data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, Cachapuz ensures appropriate legal mechanisms are in place, such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions by the European Commission.

12. Data Protection Officer (DPO)

In accordance with Article 37 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Cachapuz – Weighing & Logistics Systems, Lda. has assessed the need to appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO). Considering the nature and volume of personal data processed, as well as the type of activities carried out, it was concluded that there is no legal obligation to appoint a DPO.

 

However, Cachapuz remains firmly committed to data protection and has designated an internal team responsible for privacy and data protection. This team can be contacted via privacidade@cachapuz.com for any questions related to data processing. The data protection team includes members from the Quality, IT, HR, and Marketing departments, all of whom have signed confidentiality agreements.
