SISAB 2014: Cachapuz was there!

For three days, Meo Arena in Lisbon was the world center for the Portuguese agrifood products. About 500 domestic producers and more than 1600 importers coming from 110 countries met in Lisbon, between February, the 17th and the 19th. The goal of promoting the best that Portugal has in this area, in order to negotiate and internationalize products and brands of excellence, was duly overcome.

Pedro Passos Coelho, the Portuguese Prime Minister has confirmed its importance during his the visit to the exhibition, reinforcing that “SISAB PORTUGAL has greatly helped the internationalization of Portuguese companies in the agri-food sector.”

Cachapuz maintains a close liaison with clients in this sector, creating conditions to increase their competitiveness by optimizing their logistics processes and tasks. For such it provides “intelligent weighing” solutions which include equipment and software and automation solutions that, put together, bring intelligent added value to our customers. A good example is the SLV Tomato, a software application developed to support the management of tomato weighing operations. This system allows the computerized register of weighing and grading operations of the product, providing further administrative processing of the information.
Although 85% of the companies present in SISAB were from the food and beverage industry, Cachapuz was able to stand out, being the only company coming from Braga in the industrial weighing sector. Furthermore, amongst the crowd, the image of Cachapuz could protrude, for in the great hall of SISAB the bag offered by the company was one of the elements that “walked” through the hallways.

In terms of affluence, expectations were exceeded, allowing an active procurement of new customers and the strengthening of the relationships with those who are already part of Cachapuz family. It is therefore with pride and humility, resulting from decades of existence, that Cachapuz contributes to exports of value-added, of differentiated knowledge, highlighting the value of Portuguese skills and their recognition across borders.

The area of industrial weighing was duly represented by Cachapuz and their innovative proposals for this sector.
