Innovation: our “heavy weight” word

The first edition of FICIS – Forum Internacional das Comunidades Inteligentes (International Forum of the Intelligent and Sustainable Communities) – will take place from April, the 16th till 19th at the Parque de Exposições in Braga. Cachapuz will be there, being an icon in weighing scale history as a pioneer in several marks.

As a meeting point to specialists, opinion leaders and decision makers, FICIS will serve as a promotion factor in partnerships development, in network logic between companies, promoting synergies and business dynamics.

With a history and positioning worthy of a smart company, Cachapuz intends to demonstrate its most diverse equipment and services for the industrial weighing sector, imbued with “heavy weight” factors as competitiveness and innovation.
One of the many work acknowledgements accomplished by Cachapuz in the last few years, has been assigned in 2012 with the Work Excellence Prize, in the medium-sized enterprises category, in energy and industry sector.

Nowadays, Cachapuz has set as its strategic priorities to adequate and introduce technologically competitive functionalities in its products and services, in order to ensure and reinforce the national and international market solutions. Much of its actual activity is focused on innovative and “intelligent” solutions development designed to automate the logistic processes for the industrial weighing sector.

The continuous investment in R&D and consequential innovation capacity, has led to a new Cachapuz acknowledgment as well to its integration at innovative the SMEs network of COTEC.
