The weighing after-sales service covers all relations with the client, for the period commencing immediately after the purchase to the end of the product’s service life. Cachapuz also carries out demonstrations of its products, as part of its business covering mainland Portugal and through a network of agents in Madeira and Azores. The main activities are:

 

 

Delivery and installation of equipment

We have a range of vehicles, including a truck and semi-trailer equipped with crane, that guarantee the delivery and autonomous assembly of heavy-duty equipment, namely weighbridges. This vehicle is also used to transport standard weights up to a maximum of 24 tons, allowing us to perform measurement tests on CACHAPUZ/BILANCIAI weighing instruments capable of measuring up to 120 tons, in accordance with the EN 45501:1992 standard.

 

 

Qualified Technical Team

Besides assistance on our premises, we have 11 support vehicles and highly qualified personnel capable of solving any problem requiring assistance on the client’s premises, with maximum efficiency and effectiveness. This technical team is also charged with the task of training our clients - i.e. the users of the installed equipment - so that they may get the best return on their investment.

Cachapuz provides direct telephone assistance which, besides registering and forwarding requests for assistance to the correct department in good time, is capable of answering any queries clients have in relation to equipment operation. It also offers support, empowering our clients to solve problems themselves, whenever possible, by following the instructions provided by the service based on the description of the defect made by the client. Furthermore, Cachapuz’s technicians can use telematics to remotely intervene on equipment that permits such, following a request for assistance. This makes it possible to solve problems faster and at a lower cost to the client.

 

Periodic verification of installed equipment

Cachapuz can, when requested by its clients, accompany the periodic verifications performed by competent supervising agencies. It can confirm in advance that the weighing equipment is in good working order, thus guaranteeing a problem free official verification.

 

 

Measurement Tests

Cachapuz can support its clients’ quality services, verifying the accuracy of weighing equipment and ensuring they are functioning correctly (internal calibrations requested of an external entity).

 

 

Weighing Maintenance Contracts

Maintenance contracts mean that our clients that contract in advance the maintenance and assistance services they will presumably require over the year, may benefit from scheduled and preventive interventions, thus avoiding problem-solving interventions and ensuring that the equipment remains at the maximum possible operational level and, as a result, their business maintains its profitability.
 
The client benefits from priority in assistance and the guarantee of the provision of assistance within an agreed timeframe.
